GRAVETTE — Shirley M. Spears, 73, of Gravette, died Dec. 31, 2017, at Highland Health and Rehab in Bella Vista.
She was born Sept. 6, 1944, to Roy and Mabel Dowdy in Bentonville. She lived in northwest Arkansas her entire life. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Hiwasse.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, James Spears, who died Dec. 1, 2000.
She is survived by a son, Gene Dixon of Gravette; daughters, Tammy Still (Tracy) of Stella, Mo., and Mary Jo Duncan (Shawn) of Gravette; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Jan. 5 at First Baptist Church of Hiwasse, with Clyde Garrett officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, Bella Vista.
