Meeting set to explore interest in water service in Gallatin area

GALLATIN -- A public meeting regarding water service is scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, June 11, at the Gallatin Fire Station, 15050 Fairmount Rd., Siloam Springs. The meeting, held by the Benton County Rural Development Authority, is to determine if there is interest in a water project in the areas south of Highfill's current water system, east of the Gentry and Siloam Springs water systems and west of the Tontitown water system.

The meeting is to explore the feasibility of a project to bring affordable, potable water and possibly internet service to the residents of this area. Engineers will be present with maps to review the proposed service area, and other officials will be present to answer questions regarding the proposed project.

Attendance is not required for those who have attended a previous meeting. Area residents can also verify via email or a telephone call that their information has been received.

Those who cannot attend the meeting but are interested in water service are asked to email or call with their name, property address, mailing address (if different), and tax parcel number (such as 18-00000-000) if interested for land only. Email [email protected], call 479-531-8897, or mail Benton County RDA, PO Box 1631, Lowell, AR 72745.
