Gravette's Independence Day celebration set Saturday

GRAVETTE -- City of Gravette officials and members of the Greater Gravette Chamber of Commerce invite all to: "Bring a lawn chair and come, join us at Pop Allum Park for an Independence Day celebration!"

The annual celebration and fireworks show is set for this Saturday, June 30, with the fireworks set to begin about 9 p.m.

The evening will kick off at 5 p.m. with exhibition games at the new human foosball court recently completed by members of the Gravette Lions Club. Teams of six persons are still being sought to play in these first games of Gravette's newest sport. School or church groups, clubs or families are encouraged to sign up and come help christen the new court. Interested persons may register teams by calling Jeff Davis, 479-787-1068, or emailing [email protected].

An official dedication and ribbon cutting for the foosball court will be held at 6 p.m.

Other activities will begin at 7 p.m. Food trucks will be set up at the park selling drinks and snacks during the evening. Music and children's entertainment, including inflatables, are also planned to precede the fireworks show.
