Restaurant Inspections

Critical violations are defined as items relating directly to factors that lead to food-borne illness and must be corrected immediately. Noncritical violations are defined as items that relate to maintenance of food operations and cleanliness.

Critical violations: The meat case is not keeping temperatures of 41 degrees or below.

Noncritical violations: Seal around the doors of the meat case need to be replaced. No test strips were available. Areas in the food preparation areas need to be resealed prior to opening.

Critical violations: Food in the refrigerator is not at 41 degrees or below.

Noncritical violations: Seal around the floor and bottom of the wall needs repair. Some areas in the mobile unit need cleaning.

McDonald's

Critical violations: Employees did not lather soap long enough before rinsing off soap.

Noncritical violations: Managers who were preparing food were not wearing proper hair restraints. Milk was spilled in the milk cabinet. The walk-in has excessive ice build up. There is a leak under the soda/ice machine in the lobby.

Critical violations: Employee did not wash hands between tasks.

Noncritical violations: An ice cream hopper did not have a lid on it. Condensation is leaking in the walk-in; drain lines from the soda and ice machines are draining onto the floor; a handwashing sink is leaking.

Highfill Mart Restaurant

Critical violations: Employee did not wash hands before preparing food; employee washed hands in the three-compartment sink. Employee made bare hand contact with a bun and lettuce while preparing food. An opened package of raw bacon was stored above a container of hash browns and sausage. No sanitizer was being dispensed at the three-compartment sink. Cooked chicken strips were at 98 degrees, must be cooked to 178 degrees as per the manufacturer's instructions. Chicken strips, burritos and sausage biscuits were not at 135 degrees or above in hot holding. Foods were not date marked as needed.

Noncritical violations: Except for a plain ring such as a wedding band, employee must not wear jewelry on their arms or hands while preparing food. Food workers must wear proper hair restraints. Wiping cloths were not stored in sanitizer. Surfaces of equipment need cleaning. The walk-in cooler has a condensation leak. Employees stored personal food on a food preparation surface and in the customer-use cooler; employee food must be stored in a designated area and labeled as personal food; personal items must be stored where they cannot contaminate the establishment's food or equipment.
