WESTSIDE -- Members of the Northwest Arkansas Cattlemen and Cattlewomen clubs are finalizing plans for their annual pie auction. The event will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, at the Maysville Community Building.

The pie auction is an annual event eagerly looked forward to by many who have attended in the past. The ladies in the Cattlewomen club are known for being excellent bakers and their tasty pies sell quickly. Proceeds from the auction go to the groups' scholarship program and help support the Junior Beef Department at the Benton County Fair.

Guests who attend the pie auction will be served dinner by members of the Maysville 4-H Club. Club members invite all in the area to come enjoy a good meal, bring a pie for the auction and support the youth "because they are our future."

Donations of pies for the auction would be welcomed and appreciated. Anyone wishing to donate a pie may call Lavon Stark, 479-787-5678.
