GENTRY -- After falling behind by four runs, the Pioneers put five runs on the board in the top of the fifth to catch up to host-team Greenland on Thursday, but a seventh-inning score by the Pirates resulted in a 6-5 loss for the Pioneers.

Gentry's runs came on a single to right by Dylan Rayburn, a Myles McFerron walk, a groundball single by Konner Hodges to score Rayburn and two scoring (Rowdy Trammell, running for McFerron, and Peyton Wright) on passed balls, followed by a groundball double to second by Garrett Hays to bring in Hodges.

Tanner Christie, Hodges and Hays all had RBIs in the game. Ayden Smartt had two hits in four at-bats.

Gentry had five pitchers in the game -- Smartt, Damon Phillips, McFerron, Rayburn and Jacob Lothes.
