Two students expelled from Gentry schools

GENTRY -- Two students were expelled from Gentry Public School for a period of one calendar year in special meetings of the Gentry School Board held on March 5 and March 6.

One student was expelled for a period of one calendar year for the possession of a weapon on school property.

A second student was expelled for one calendar year for behavior meeting the school policy definition of criminal acts.

The board action took place in connection with expulsion hearings scheduled during the special meetings. In both cases, parents chose not to appeal the school's actions.

No further information was released in regard to the students or the specific acts involved.
