— The visiting Gravette Lions made quick work of the Pioneers on Friday, scoring 11 runs in the first inning and another eight in the second and taking home a 22-1 win after five innings of play.

Gentry's only run came in the bottom of the first when Ayden Smartt was brought home on a sacrifice fly ball to left center by Myles McFerron.

With seven runs on the board for Gravette and two outs in the top of the first, Brodie Parsons hit a three-run homer over the right-field fence for Gravette, bringing in Jonah Keener and Dillon Hendricks. Bailey Soule, Gravette's next batter, followed with another home run in almost the same spot.

In the second inning, Keener brought in Mason Dagley with a line drive into right. Then, Brady Moorman singled on a line drive to right, bringing in Jake Carver and Keener. After Soule was hit on the helmet by a pitch, Hunter Cole singled to right, bringing in Hendricks, and Parsons scored on the throw. Thomas Tryon scored on a passed ball, and Cole came home on a Kenton Tajchman ground ball and shortstop error. Austin O'Brien made it home on a Carver pop fly to the pitcher.

Though the runs weren't needed, the Lions added another run in the top of the third and two more in the fourth for the blowout win.

Brodie Parsons led the Lions with six RBIs in the game. Hunter Cole had three.
