GRAVETTE -- Benton County Sheriff's Office deputies relieved teachers from their duties in the car rider lines at Glenn Duffy Elementary School last week, according to Sergeant Shannon Jenkins, public information officer with BCSO. The deputies were on duty at GDE beginning at 7 a.m. Thursday, May 10. This was a part of the department's Teacher Appreciation Week. "They work hard for our children and we wanted to do something for them. Deputies opened doors for the students, kept the traffic flow going and threw out a ton of high-fives!" Jenkins said.
