Highfill EHC

The Highfill E.H.C. met May 21 in the Gentry Public Library. The meeting was called to order by club president, Peggy Dillahunty, with 11 members present. The Pledge of Allegiance was spoken and the song "Don't Fence Me In" sung by all.

The club's volunteer hours were reported, with a total of 347 1/2 hours.

New ideas shared included a wreath made from clothespins by Jeanie Hittson; a tote bag and a skirt and matching tie, a water bottle cover by Mary Gossett; and a boat quilt top from Shirley Philpott. Minutes were read and approved and the treasurer's report was given.

Margaret said she talked to a doctor about port pillows for cancer patients. They need these because the seat belts go over the ports.

Jeanie and Effie will be going to the state meeting in Hot Springs.

Maysville Days will be June 22. Margaret Bishop had the lesson on AAPS. The meeting closed with the reading of "The Home Makers Prayer."
