Teeds celebrate 50th

David and Teresa Teed, of Sulphur Springs, celebrated their 50th anniversary Aug. 18 at the Gravette Holiness Bible School cafeteria.

David Teed and Teresa Huffman met on the campus of the Holiness Bible School in Gravette when they were both eighth-graders there. They graduated in 1964.

Teresa attended John Brown University, where she received a secondary teaching degree. She taught several years at the Bible School and later was employed at the Gravette Manor nursing home.

David was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era and served as a medic in France. After his years in service, he returned to Gravette and was involved in several local businesses. He owned the Gravette Locker for a short time, managed the meat department at McAllister's Grocery and worked at Farmer's Supply.

The couple was married Aug. 20, 1968.

They are the parents of eight children, David, Daniel, Titus, Elizabeth, Philip, Susanna, Nathan and Joanna. They have eight grandchildren and three foster grandchildren.
