GENTRY -- Gayla Wilmoth, former principal of Gentry Primary School, was honored with a plaque last week in recognition of her 34 years of service to the Gentry School District.

During her years of service, she worked as a Title 1 aide, a teacher, an assistant principal and as principal. She retired at the close of the 2019-2020 school year, which officially ended on June 30.

Victoria Groomer was hired by the school board to be the new principal at the primary school. She officially began her duties on July 1.
