Care and Share Receives Donation From Village POA

The Bella Vista Property Owners Association recently presented a cash donation to a nonprofit organization aimed at helping people in need.

The association issued a $200 check to Care & Share of Gravette, a faith-based program that provides assistance to people who work, live or attend church in School District 20, which includes portions of Bella Vista, said Miriam Rose, president of the Care & Share Corp.

Bella Vista Village’s $200 gift was originally intended for the winner of the association’s slogan contest, which was announced in December. However, the wining slogan, “Bella Vista Village. . . Embrace the Good Life”, was the brainchild of an anonymous contestant andtherefore the gift could not be claimed.

The money donated will be used for utilities, food, prescriptions and other everyday essentials, Rowe said. Last year Care & Share gave more than $50,000 and, in addition, the nonprofit provides holiday food baskets for families in need, she explained.

“It’s just wonderful how people open their hearts and their pocketbooks,” Rowe said.

With the holidays upon us, General Manager Tommy Bailey chose Care & Share to be the recipient of the cash donation.

“We’re thrilled that the association can give back and help area families,” Bailey said. “After all, that’s what Christmas is all about - giving back and helping those less fortunate.”
