— The students’ journey began with a tour of the Wal-Mart distribution center and ended with the students meeting at the Embassy Suites hotel in Rogers. During the tour of the Wal-Mart distribution center they were shown the processes taken to handle, sort and ship merchandisefrom the vendors to the stores in our surrounding area.

“I thought it was cool how they directed boxes to different conveyor belts. Plus, it was a lot of fun to jump over them,” said Amy Huffmaster, a student who attended.

After their tour they headed to the Embassy Suites Convention Center in Rogers for the Fall Leadership Conference.

The event saw over 15 schools and 500 students attending conferences and workshops that introduced the students to marketing and business.
