Taylor Eaton Is State Poster Winner; Other Local Winners Are Announced By Legion

GRAVETTE — Gravette American Legion Post announces winners in its annual “War on Drugs” poster contest. The Post also announced a poster by a Gravette student placed third in state competition.

Taylor Eaton, center, in the above photo, took first place in the Gravettecontest in which more than 100 fifth graders participated.

Her poster took third place honors in state competition with more than 300 posters from children throughout the state. She was awarded a $50 cash prize.

Also shown in the abovephoto, from the left, is Cordell Houtchens, third place; and Kinsley Hurtt, second place. They are holding their posters. Taylor’s was not available for the photo since it was sent to the American Legion State Convention in Little Rock.
