Vera Teasley

Vera Mae Teasley, 88, of Weatherford, OK, died Saturday, April 17, 2010, in Weatherford. She was born April 9, 1922, in Independence, OK.

Mrs. Weatherford attended school in Independence and later in Indianapolis, OK, and Red Rock. She graduated at Custer City. After graduation she worked in the office at Farmer’s Elevator in Custer. She married Billy Teasley on August 7, 1942. They lived on a farm and later moved to Weatherford where she assisted her husband in his plumbing business. She was a member of the Nazarene Church and taught Sunday School more than 45 years. On a trip to the Holy Land in 1979 she was baptized in the Jordan River.

Survivors include three sons, Ron Teasley and wife Linda of Gravette, Charles Teasley and wife Cheri and Calvin Teasley and wife Sandra, all of Weatherford; one daughter, Connie Crawford of Gravette; grandchildren including Tamara Chaney, and Lindsey and Ryan Watford of Gravette, Angela and Ray Scott of Maysville, Samantha and Todd Gaunt, Craig and Leslie Teasley and Gretchen and Chuck Vogt, and Myriah Bennett all of Weatherford, Melyssa and Barry and Jennifer Mize of Tulsa, Maranda Davis of Jackson, MS, Jeremy and Molly Frazier, Michael and Joni Chester of Elk City, Tabitha and Stuart McCuan of Oklahoma City; one brother, Don Deaton and wife Ann of Pueblo, CO; and 21 greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services were Monday, April 19, at the Church of the Nazarene in Weatherford with Pastor Jeff Sykes officiating. Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery under direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Marilyn Teeter

Marilyn Teeter, 73, of Independence, MO, died January 30, 2010, in Independence. She was born June 24, 1936, in Fayetteville, AR, the daughter of Clarence and Nova Bacus Teeter.

She grew up in Gravette and graduated from Gravette High School. She attended the Methodist Church. She retired from the Kansas City Police Department. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Howard Teeter.

Survivors include one brother, Charles Teeter; and two sisters, Cathey Teeter of Kansas City, KS, and Rebecca Gale of Bentonville.

Memorial services will be held at a future date. Arrangements are by Heartland Cremation Society of Kansas City, MO.

Arlee Blankenship

Former Gravette resident Arlee Blankenship, 74, of Hot Springs, died Monday, April 19, 2010.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Park Place Baptist Church in Hot Springs. An obituary will be published next week.

Vivian Wolfinbarger

Vivian Wolfinbarger, 76, of Gravette, died April 14, 2010, in Bentonville, AR. She was born November 17, 1933, in Francis, Utah, the daughter of Clifford Douglas and Gwendolyn McNiel Housel.

Mrs. Wolfinbarger was of the Mormon faith and was a homemaker. She married Rick Wolfinbarger on May 21, 1969. He survives.

Other survivors include four sons, Monty Scates and wife Virginia of Jane, MI, Terry Scates and wife Terry of Rocky Comfort, MO, Ricky Wolfinbarger and wife Shonda of Bentonville and Vernon Wolfinbarger and wife Shawn of Greenland; one daughter, Carla Scates and Ralph Hollinger of Exeter, MO; four brothers, Jack, Jaren, Vance and Layne; one sister, Diane; 20 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. April 19 at Eureka Springs Cemetery with Rick Whitley officiating under direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
