— The Gravette FFA Chapter loaded up 18 members and two adults on Nov. 3 to head toward the Ferndale Center to participate in the Excel Program.

The Excel Program is a leadership training activity. The members learned to trust one another and that communication is a very important necessity.

The FFA Chapter had about a fourhour drive to the center. By the time they had arrived, one would have thought that they would all have been tired but, no, not a one of them were.

While settling into their rooms, the members were informed by Mr. Tapp, their sponsor, that they would be getting up around 6 a.m. to be ready to eat breakfast at 7:30 that morning. Their first few activities that morning included getting members to trust each other and learning to communicate. Then for the rest of the evening the members were on the ropes course.

At 4:30 p.m., on Nov. 4, they loaded back up on the bus and headed off for their four-hour ride back to Gravette.

The Gravette FFA Chapter received help from the FFA Support Group and from McKee Foods Corporation to make the trip possible.
