GRAVETTE — More than 30 girls attended the Pee Wee Cheerleader camp held earlier this month at the Upper Elementary School in Gravette. There were four age groups from grades one through seven.
Three former GHS cheerleaders, Chelsea Porter, Hailey Morrison and Lauren Kara, assisted in teaching jumps, dances and stunting techniques. Staff members included Angie Tyner, Mandi Barrett, Leslie Fournier and Cindy Pembleton. Kim Dunham is president of the organization.
Awards were presented at the close of the camp and girls were recognized for their efforts and skills learned, said Stephanie Parrish, who provided this information.
“The girls all had a great time and seemed to learn a lot,” said Chelsea Porter.
