Oops! I missed the early deadline last week. I’m sorry. However I think everyone was too busy to make any news anyway.

With the weather finally warming up, everyone is busy trying to get the hay in and other chores done between showers.

Ron and Sandy Bates from Ada, OK, spent Memorial weekend with their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Paul Hamilton and family.

Marlo Hamilton has spent a few days visiting family and attended her niece Reese’s kindergarten graduation on Friday morning.

Johnny Horton is home from the Joplin, MO, hospital, recovering after being severely injured being attacked by a bull.

Karen Burns visited with Barbara Bates one day recently.

Those enjoying Memorial weekend lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier and Lamarise on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Carrier, Maxine Holloway and myself.

Billy Habermehl has spent some time in the VA Hospital with a foot injury.

John and Julie Holloway were called to Wichita, KS, on Monday by the death of Julie’s stepdad. Sympathy is extended to the family.

Those having lunch with Ward and Paula Carrier on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Brian Carrier, Dale-Lynn Carrier, Lamarise Carrier, Amy Brooks, Gabe Carrier, Trevor Elliot and myself. We were helping Diane celebrate her birthday.

Bro. Orvil Hill from the children’s home at Paragould was guest speaker at the Hiwasse Church of Christ on Sunday. He was accompanied to Hiwasse by his wife Sally.

Several in the area were affected by a telephone outage from during the night on Sunday until during the night Tuesday.

Lofty and DaleLynn Carrier made a business trip to Junction City, KS, on Friday.

We have several sick ones in our community, including Ruby Hight and Rick Banks, who need our prayers.

Ralph and Barbara Horton from Conway were up one day to visit his brother, Johnny Horton.
