CONWAY — Derek McCain signed a letter of intent last week to attend Central Baptist College in Conway and participate in the college's wrestling program.
With McCain were his parents, Bubba and Deonn McCain; his new wrestling coach at Central Baptist, Ken Prophete; and Gentry wrestling coach Alonzo Pettigrew. McCain will receive a $2,500 scholarship to attend the school.
He placed in state competition for Gentry and also competed on the national level.
