Runoff Election Results

— Runoff elections for both the Republican and Democratic primaries were held last Tuesday with Maysville and Gravette precincts voting at the Civic Center in Gravette.

At the county level, Bob Clinard of Rogers bested incumbent County Judge Dave Bisbee 10,058 to 4,961 (unofficial totals). Clinard, a Republican, will face Jeff Broadston of Decatur, a write-in candidate, in the November General Election.

Curtis “Steve “Curry of Gravette won the race for District 11 Justice of the Peace which includes Gravette and Northwest Benton County. Curry polled 358 to Nathan Florer’s 324. He is unopposed in the General Election. Incumbent Bobby Hubbard did not seek re-election.

In the Republican primary Benton County voters cast 9,044 votes for Rogers Mayor Steve Womack. Cecile Bledsoe, also of Rogers, received 3,607 votes. At the district level Womack got the nod with 18,290 votes to 17,048 for Bledsoe. Womack will face Democrat David Whitaker in the Nov. 2 General Election.
