James Monroe Curtis

James Monroe Curtis, 91, of Lincoln, died June 9, 2010, at Prairie Grove Health and Rehab in Prairie Grove.

He was born Nov. 4, 1918, in Clarksville, to John F. and Allie Belle Brison Curtis.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Dottie; two sons, Bill and David Curtis; three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his wife Mildred Jerlene Curtis of the home; two sons, John S. Curtis of Gravette, and Steven Curtis of Norfolk, Va.; one daughter, Jeanne Hingle of Lincoln; one brother, Thomas Curtis of Bentonville; and one sister, Myrtle Rudick of Yakima, Wash.; five grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services wereJune 12 at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, with Jack Thompson officiating. Graveside services were at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Hiwasse.

Arrangements were by the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove.

Martha “Marty” Martin

Martha “Marty” Martin died June 6, 2010.

Funeral services were held June 9, 2010, at First Assembly of God Church in Siloam Springs.

Burial was at Falling Springs Cemetery in Decatur.

Arrangements were by Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

Daniel Ray Taylor

Daniel Ray Taylor, 60, of Gravette, died June 7, 2010, at his home.

He was born on Sept. 11, 1949, in Kansas City, Mo., to Frank Allan Taylor and Stella Lea Rich Taylor. He was raised and educated in Grandview, Mo. He served in the United States Navy from 1969 to 1973 aboard the USS Intrepid. He married Karen Kapmeyer on Nov. 5, 1969, in Grandview. They moved to Gravette in 1980 and operated a chicken farm for Tyson.

He was preceded in death by his father; and a grandson, Jacob Daniel Taylor.

He is survived by his wife, Karen R. Taylor of Gravette; his mother, Stella Zawko of Belton, Mo.; two sons, John Allan Taylor of Jane, Mo., Nathan Edward Taylor and wife Christine of Peculiar, Mo.; one brother, Stephen Frank Taylor and wife Joan of Lytle Creek, Calif.; one sister,Rebecca Sue Lowery and husband Gary of Peculiar; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were June 11, 2010, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel with J.D. Arnold officiating. Burial was at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Hiwasse.

Arrangements were by Bella Vista Funeral Home in Bella Vista.

Wayne Eugene Waldron

Wayne Eugene Waldron, 87, of Centerton, died June 10, 2010, in Bentonville.

He was born Feb. 11, 1923, in Fort Smith, the son of Acey M. and Minnie G. Eves Waldron.

He was retired from Southern California Edison and a member of the First Baptist Church in Centerton. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.

He was preceded indeath by his wife Anita, whom he married in 1992; his parents; two sisters, Dorothy and Ruby; and one brother, Xury.

He was survived by his daughter, Sharon Corricelli and husband Wayne of Phoenix, Ariz.; stepchildren, Jennie Hill and husband Jack of Gentry, Rebecca Johnson of Dallas, Texas, Michael Musteen of San Diego, Calif., Barry Musteen and wife Sonya of Centerton; four sisters, Tency Durbin, Kathy Johnson, Maudie Sullivan and Raynette Mandella; two brothers, Harvey Waldron and Acey Waldron Jr.; two grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; and 11 step-great-grandchildren

Graveside services with full military honors were held on June 15 at Benton County Memorial Park Cemetery with Stewart Bell and Cass Hill officiating.

Arrangements were by Benton County Funeral Home of Rogers.
