Kuykendall Named New Marketing Director For OCH Hospital In Gravette

— Ozarks Community Hospital of Gravette announces appointment of a new Resolutions Unit Marketing Director, Jan Kuykendall.

The 10-bed Resolutions Unit at the hospital provides individuals age 65 and older with effective treatment for mental and medical health needs, said Carrie Richardson, Director of Communications.

Kuykendall is responsible for marketing the Resolutions program, Richardson said. Her primary responsibilities include meeting with long term care facilities, physician offices and other potential referral sources to promote the services of the geriatric behavioral health unit in Gravette. In addition to an office onside, she travels throughout Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri educating communities about the unique program at Ozarks Community Hospital.

“I am honored to come on board with Ozarks Community Hospital of Gravette, as Marketing Director for Resolutions. I will be meeting with and educating professionals in Gravette and throughout Northwest Arkansas. Aging can present many life challenges. Some of these situations may find the older adult reacting in a fashion that displays low energy, confusion or forgetfulness. The Resolutions program at OCH of Gravette is committed to providing effective therapeutic interventions along with medication management that will help those older adults maintain a more satisfying or improved lifestyle,” Kuykendall said.

Ozarks Community Hospital looks forward to Kuykendall’s experience with hospital systems such as Baptist Hospital in Memphis, TN, and University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock, AR. She has also worked within the smaller rural hospital system in Forrest City, AR, at Forrest City Medical Center, Richardson said.

Born and raised in Fort Smith, AR, Kuykendall spent her first two years of college at what is now the University of Arkansas Fort Smith. She transferred to OSU where she received her BBA with an emphasis on marketing. She received her Masters in Marketing and Finance from the University of Colorado. Kuykendall, who lives in Siloam Springs, has two children, a daughter and her family in Siloam Springs and a son and family in Tennessee.

The Resolutions program brings together an interdisciplinary team of health care professionals: psychiatrist, psychologist, primary care physicians, psychiatric nurses, social worker and recreational therapist.
