The wind has sure been cold today. I’m looking forward to warmer weather.

There was a birthday party at the community Sunday. Laura Carnahan’s family and friends were celebrating a birthday for Laura’s 3-year-old daughter. Happy birthday to her.

Eula Evans came home from the rehab center at Siloam Springs on Thursday. She will still be in therapy but it will be in the home. Glad you are home, Eula, and doing better.

Maysville E. H. Club members who attended Curtain Call on Friday were Orpha Wardlaw, Bert Ballmann and Melinda Crawley and daughter Tabitha.

Donna and Devon Graham’s grandson escaped serious injury in a car wreck last Saturday in Jay. Glad he is doing all right.

Some of my family members visited me on Friday afternoon around 4:30 to eat before attending the Booth Brothers concert at the high school. Those present were my brotherVernonVandiver and wife Janis of Bentonville, brother JimVandiver of Broken Arrow, OK, and friend Shirley of Tulsa, my son Steve Tucker and wife Susan, daughter Helen Chism and husband Gary, grandson Billy Cook, my sister Marie Crawford and husband Jim, sister Frances Sims and niece Anita Townsend. We enjoyed the meal here and also enjoyed the concert.

Orpha Wardlaw’s grandchildren from Tulsa, Zack and Selena Fincher, spent some of their spring break with her. They went over to the Senior Citizen Day at the community building on Thursday and enjoyed the time. They got a lesson in checkers from MarvinWilber and they enjoyed that. They are children of Steve and Eva Rea (Wardlaw) Fincher.

Orpha Wardlaw, Mary Stewart, Carol Loux andBeverly Maxwell attended the Booth Brothers concert in Gravette on Friday evening.

Julian Lovell and family enjoyed a trip to Florida during spring break since their children were out of school.

Sue Smith took two of her granddaughters, Amber Hughes and Chelsea Quaintance, to Branson during spring break. I’m sure they had a good time.

Jean and Les Martindale, Jack and Sylvia Tucker went to Rogers on Wednesday to celebrate Sylvia’s birthday. They ate at Muehleback at Rogers. They report it’s a good place to eat.

Shelly Bishop and daughter Hayley visited Jack and Sylvia Tucker one day this week. Hayley was on spring break.

Sammie Sappington of Fayetteville visited Jack and Sylvia Tucker on Saturday and spent the day. Her mother, Patti King, visited them on Thursday to celebrate Sylvia’s birthday and bring a gift. Happy Birthday, Sylvia. Hope you have many more.

I went home with Steve and Susan Tucker after the concert Friday night.We got up early Saturday morning to go to Bolivar, MO, to see Seth Tucker play two ballgames. They lost one and won one. They won the second game in the twelfth inning. Seth pitched and did good. We got back to Bella Vista late Saturday evening and got up early Sunday morning and went to Sunday School and church at First Baptist in Bentonville. Then we went out to eat and they brought me home. I enjoyed the weekend very much but I’ll have to admit I was tired.
