Testing set at schools

— Students in kindergarten through high school will be taking a variety of standardized tests in April.

High school counselor Nancy Cotter said it’s important for parents to make sure their students attend school on test days. If parents need to schedule appointments for their students on test days, it would be best to schedule them in the afternoon, because most testing is done in the morning, she said.

Parents can also help their children do well by making sure they get a good night’s sleep and eat a nutritious breakfast on test days, Cotter said.
