JBU students awarded

— Several area students have been named to John Brown University’s President’s and Dean’s List of distinguished students from the Advance Degree Completion Program.

Each student is a member of a Northwest Arkansas Advance Program cohort group:

Ray Duncan, of Colcord, Okla, was named on the president’s list in cohort group 14, which is working towards a bachelor’s degree in business information services.

Lasea Ellis, of Gentry, was named on the dean’s list for cohort group 07, which is working towards a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.

Michele Romine, of Gravette, was named on the dean’s list in cohort group 69, which is working toward a bachelor’s degree in organizational management.

Jennifer Ellis, of Gravette, was named on the president’s list for cohort 72, which is working toward a bachelor’s degree in organizational management.

The Advance Program is a degree completion program that allows students to complete their bachelor’s degree by attending classes one night a week. Classes are designed for working adults 23 years of age or older who have at least two years of prior college credit and relevant work experience.
