— Efforts to raise funds to install a heating system for the animals at Gravette’s Animal Shelter are progressing, according to Eda Montag, a member of the Gravette JGT Club.

Eda, a Jolly Good Times Club member, has been collecting donations at Marvin’s and in a donation canister placed there. She reports that, as of last Wednesday, a total of $198.20 has been collected, along with the donations of two good heaters.

Donations of $100 have been received from Jean and Gary Phipps and Gravette Gleamers 4-H Club. Country View Animal Clinic also contributed $150, Montag said. She is shown placing a canister at Marvin’s in hopes of raising donations from many animal lovers in the area.

The project had to be put on hold because of lack of funds but an estimate of $1,000 will probably complete the project, which will make the animals more comfortable in the shelter.
