GRAVETTE — Freedom Supporters, an area organization which collects donations for care packages for American troops, will be located in Kindley Memorial Park Saturday, Aug. 13, according to Tina Vandiver. This is the second year the troop has attended Gravette Day.
Some of the group’s projects include care packages for troops in Afghanistan and Iraq and for K-9 units and trainers, food pantries, fundraising projects and seeing off soldiers and welcoming them home again.
Donations of items for the packages include nonperishable food items, hygiene products, books, magazines, batteries, puzzles, stationery,gloves, zip-lock bags and writing materials. For information, contact TinaVandiver, 479-685-3503, or Rick Vandiver, 417-685-1105.
