DECATUR — Dora Hernandez, a Decatur Northside Elementary Student, won first place in the Arkansas 2011 Conservation Poster Contest in the second through third grade category.
Hernandez’ poster recently won the Benton County Conservation District poster contest, before going on to thestate level of competition. Her poster will now go on to the National level of competition next month in Las Vegas, Nev.
Marlee Kinder, also a Decatur student, received honorable mention at the state level in the kindergarten through first grade category.
Darlene McVay and Katherine Martinez, both of the Gravette Middle School, placed second in the their age categories.
