Gravette youth football team wins Super Bowl

— On Saturday, Nov. 5, the Little Black youth football team which consists of second, third and fourth graders, capped off an 11-0 season by beating defending champion Commerce Tigers 18-0 in the Super Bowl Championship at Afton, Okla.

Little Black Attack was up 6-0 in the first quarter with Commerce driving the ball down the field. The defense made a great goal line stand at the three-yard line to give the ball back to Gravette. Two plays later,Chace Austin took the ball 91 yards to the house and Little Black Attack never looked back.

The offense averaged 27 points a game while the starting defense only gave up two touchdowns all year! This goes down as one of the best seasons in Gravette youth football history.

Youth coaches say, “If you are a Gravette Lions football fan, you have reason to smile because the future looks bright!”
