LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

WESTSIDE — Glenn Duffy Elementary thanks all the parents who attended parent-teacher conferences last week. We had a 96 percent turn out. The other 4 percent were, for various reasons, rescheduled for conferences at a later time.

We also thank all the volunteers who help supportthe staff here at GDE. There are many parents, grandparents and community members who help us out with various tasks.

We have a Volunteer of the Day program where volunteers are encouraged to help with copying, coloring, cutting, assembling materials, filing and other tasks. The teachers at GDEreally appreciate these efforts made, so that more of their time can be devoted to preparing for instruction.

No letters pertaining to a ballot issue will be published during a 48hour period prior to an election. No letters pertaining to an individual candidate will be published.
