Girls playing strong

— The Lady Pioneers continue to play strong on the soccer field, picking up a number of victories.

On Thursday the varsity girls beat Eureka Springs varsity girls’ team 6-0. Thiswas the first conference game. Ana Palacios scored two goals. Bryanna Carter, Hannah Bond and Kanisha Eckarteach kicked in one.

On Saturday the girls played in a tournament at Fort Smith, with the Gentry girls falling to Greenwood, 1-0; beating Huntsville, 1-0, with Bryanna Carter scoringfor Gentry; and falling to Ft. Smith Northside, 2-0. Each tournament game was 50 minutes long, with 25-minute halves.

On Monday night, the girls soundly defeated Clarksville, 7-0. They were to play a conference game in Decatur after press time and to play Thursday at Green Forest.
