Arrests made in sexual assault

Parents also charged for permitting sexual abuse of child

— Three residents of Gentry were arrested on April 11 on felony charges related to sexual abuse of a child.

According to Gentry police, Frederico Vazquez-Hernandez, 27, was arrested and charged with sexual assault in the fourth degree for allegedly engagingin sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 16.

Ernesto and Tammy Torres of Gentry were arrested and charged with permitting the abuse of a minor for allegedly knowingly permitting the sexual relationship with a child under their care, according to police.

On Monday, Vazquez-Hernandez remained in jail with bond set at $10,000. Ernestoand Tammy Torres bonded out according to police.

DWI Arrest

Gentry police also arrested William Henshall of Siloam Springs, on April 11, after Henshall drove to the right of the fog line several times on Arkansas Highway 12 and failed a field sobriety test.

According to police reports, Henshall was arrested shortly after 1 a.m. and tested .17 in blood alcohol content, slightly more than twice the legal limit for drivers.

Henshaw was transported to the Benton County Jail.
