Gentry police make drug-related arrests in two separate incidents

— Gentry police arrested David R. According to police reports, when Parum was stopped by police because of no working tail lights on his car, he appeared nervous and was shaking.

Following a consent to search, what appeared to be marijuana and a pipe made out of a tire gauge were discovered in Parum’s lunch box. He also is alleged to have failed to register his car within 30 days of purchase.

Parum’s car was towed and he was transported to the Benton County Jail.

Public intoxication

On Jan. 7, Gentry police arrested Ramiro B. Villatoro, 39, of Gentry, for disorderly conduct, public intoxication and resisting arrest.

Villatoro, according to reports, was banging a trash can lid on the door of Walmart Express in Gentry and demanding to be let inside at approximately 7:30 a.m. When police asked him why he was demanding to be let inside, he allegedly stated someone was trying to kill him but didn’t say who, according to reports.

According to reports, Villatoro was not wearing a shirt in the 35-degree weather, had on mismatched and untied shoes and was sweating profusely.

When police attempted to take him into custody, he allegedly pulled away and resisted arrest, according to the police report.

Villatoro allegedly admitted to using methamphetamine earlier in the morning, the report states.
