Sulphur woman celebrates 100th birthday on July 4th

— Martha Eldred, formerly of Sulphur Springs, celebrated her 100th birthday on July 4, 2012, at New Hope Health and Rehab Center in Rogers. All seven of her children with their spouses, eight of her grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren also attended the family gathering. A few of her cousins and friends were also present.

Several family members consisting of three grandchildren, 10 greatgrandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren who could not attend this affair will celebrate with her at a later date. The greatgrandchildren who were present read a tribute to her life, quoting many of her talents and activities that she participated in overthese many years. Her favorite dessert, Italian cream cake, was served. She enjoyed every moment of the celebration and wants to thank everyone who sent cards and offered well wishes in remembrance of this milestone.

Her children who were present were BillEldred of Gravette, Rocky Eldred of Bella Vista, Jo Crom of Garland, Texas., Evelyn Eldred of Lowell, Annette Hughes of Alamo, Texas., Jean Mitchell of Frisco, Texas, and Lucia Nell Taylor ofBrandon, Fla.
