Dinner and activities planned at cemetery

GENTRY — Fairmount Cemetery Association will be holding a potluck dinner and an afternoon of music and information on May 27 in observance of the 150th anniversary of the cemetery.

Scheduled activities include a potluck lunch at 12:30 p.m. (those attending are asked to bring a covered dish and their own lawn chairs), an annual business meeting at 1 p.m., information presentedby Mike Freels of the Benton County Cemetery Preservation Group, and music by the Flint Hill Ramblers. Computer equipment will be on hand for the sharing of photos and family history information.

The cemetery is located two miles east of Gentry on Arkansas Highway 12, and two miles south on Fairmount Road.
