Gentry woman arrested for stabbing boyfriend during domestic dispute

— A Gentry man was stabbed in a domesticdisturbance at 860 Mockingbird Lane on Saturday and transported to the Siloam Springs Emergency Room.

According to a Gentry Police Department probable cause affidavit, Shereen Jehan Usmani, 36, of that address, was arrested for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend, Miles Nobre, 32, three times during a dispute over financial issues which erupted at her residence about 4 p.m. Saturday.

When police arrived, Nobre had left and gone to the Gentry Fire Department for medical treatment. Nobre had three stab wounds and told police that Usmani had stabbed him during a fight,according to the affidavit.

Police found broken picture frames, shattered glass and blood at the Usmani residence, as well as a silver steak knife with blood on it, the affidavit states.

Usmani allegedly told police, “I just get so mad and don’t know what I’m doing,” the affidavit says.

Usmani was being held in the Benton County Jail Monday on charges of domestic battery in the first degree, a Class B felony, according to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office website. She was being held in lieu of a $1,000 surety bond, the site said.
