Boys & Girls Club receives grant

— Several non-profit agencies serving residents of Northwest Arkansas recently received grants totaling $45,500 from the General Improvement Fund of the State of Arkansas. The range of services provided and needs were considered and grants approved by the NorthwestArkansas Economic Development District, Inc., which covers nine counties. Agencies were nominated by State Rep. Jonathan Barnett of Siloam Springs.

Non-profits receiving grants were: Ability Tree; American Legion; Boys and Girls Club of Western Benton County; Dogwood Literacy Council; Friends of the Siloam Springs Library;Genesis House; Heartbeat Fund of First Baptist Church; John Brown University; Main Street Siloam Springs; Manna Center; New Beginnings Pregnancy Center; Siloam Springs High School Scholarship Program; Siloam Springs Senior Activity Center; Siloam Springs Youth Baseball; and the Tontitown Fire Department.
