Flags to fly on Veterans Day

GRAVETTE — In observance of Veterans Day and to honor local veterans, the Avenue of Flags in Hillcrest Cemetery will be raised at 8 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, and lowered that same evening at 5 p.m.

The public is invitedto assist, said J.R. Gibbs, Adjutant of John E. Tracy Post 25, American Legion in Gravette.

“This will be the final flag raising until Memorial Day weekend 2013,” Gibbs said. “Gravette American Legion Post 25 is thankful for the tremendous help we have had this year.”
