DECATUR — The Bulldogs lost 35-8 to the Hackett Hornets during a 4-2A conference game on Friday.
The win gives the Hornets a 4-0 record for the season. Meanwhile, Decatur has a record of 1-3 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
The Bulldogs struggledduring the game, according to coach Shane Holland.
Senior Elijah McIver played well on both sides of the ball. Freshman Victor Urquidi and Senior Evan Owens both made plays for the offense, Holland said.
The Bulldogs will face the Johnson County Westside Rebels, with a 2-2 season record, during their first home game this Friday.
