Glen Dean Goodhart PRAIRIE GROVE ó Glen Dean Goodhart, 55, a resident of Prairie Grove, passed away Aug.11, 2013, in Fayetteville of natural causes. He was born March 6, 1958, in Liberal, Kan., the son of Vearl Dean and Barbara Jean Bartholomew Goodhart.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his four children, Crystal Glen ìBirdî Goodhart, Rachel Renaí Goodhart, Chad Dean Goodhart and Justin Roy Lee Goodhart; ve brothers and sisters, Cindy Brock, Cleta Goodhart, Tia Kasper, Mark Morgan and Richard Dixon; three grandchildren, Lauren Brockman, Christian Goodhart and Kaydence Elizabeth Goodhart; his stepmother, Avis Goodhart, and his stepfather, Zed Dixon; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and his dogs, Yodi and Ransom.

Funeral service was held Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at New Life Covenant Church in Prairie Grove. Burial was in Eighty-Six Cemetery in Strickler.

Memorials may be made to the Glen Goodhart Memorial Fund at Arvest Bank.

Virginia Ellen Curtsinger LINCOLN ó Virginia EllenCurtsinger, 74, a resident of Lincoln, passed away Aug. 12, 2013, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born Feb. 6, 1939, in Lincoln, the daughter of Hubert Elmo and Martha Ellen Kidd Christian.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Robert Curtsinger; one son, Douglas Wayne Curtsinger and his wife, Darlene, of Fayetteville; three grandchildren, Amanda Kimball and her husband, Jak, Jami Ward, and Robert Curtsinger and his wife, Amy; eight great-grandchildren; and countless other family members and friends.

Family visited with friends on Aug. 15, 2013, at American Legion in Prairie Grove.

Joyce Gertrude Carver

Joyce Gertrude Carver, 74, a resident of Prairie Grove, passed away August 15, 2013, at herhome. She was born July 10, 1939, in Waterbury, Conn., the daughter of Albert and Leonie Grenier Chouinard.

Joyce was preceded in death by herparents and one sister, Marie ìGerryî Chouinard.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur Carver; two sons, Michael Carver of Sand Springs, Okla., and David Carver of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one daughter, Donna Chouinard of PrairieGrove, Ark.; one brother, Albert ìRonî Chouinard of Lincoln, Ark.; three grandchildren, Lex, Seth and Dylan.

Memorial service was held Aug. 20, 2013, at New Life Covenant Church in Prairie Grove.

Keith Franklin Blakemore NORFORK ó Keith Franklin Blakemore, 68, a resident of Norfork, Ark., went to be with hisLord on Aug. 17, 2013, at his home. He was born Jan. 17, 1945, in Prairie Grove, Ark., the son of Frank Glen and Martha Laura English Blakemore.

Keith wasa corporal with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission where he served as a Crime Scene Tech and held an advanced degree for the same, taught hunters education for 28 years and boating education for 10 years. He was the past president of the Yell County Wildlife Federation, a lifetime member of the NRA, had served as the vice president of the Prairie Grove Jaycees and a Scoutmaster in Charlotte, N.C.

Keith owned and operated Blakemore Sports Shop in Prairie Grove for several years and was the co-owner of JS Boatsand custom-built many river boats for the rivers he loved ó the White River and the North Fork. He loved the outdoors, hunting and shing and especially loved teaching his grandchildren to sh.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Blakemore; four sons, Scott Blakemore and his wife Julie of Mountain Home, Idaho, Shawn Blakemore and his wife Cindy of Springdale, Ark., John Lindley and his wife Mariza of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and Greg Lindley and his wife Nicole of Rogers, Ark.; his mother, Martha Blakemore of Mountain Home, Ark.; 11 grandchildren, Audrey, Bayleigh, Cody, Donovan, Gavin, Kayla, Louis, Madilyn, Manuel, Sam, and Tony; two great-grandchildren, Braelin and Coby.

Arrangements were by Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Prairie Grove First United Methodist Church in Prairie Grove, Ark., with burial in the Prairie Grove Cemetery.

The Arkansas Game and Fish Honor Guard will serve as pallbearers and provide funeral honors at the graveside service.

JoAnn Pennington STRICKLER ó JoAnn Pennington died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, in Strickler, Ark. She was72 years old. The daughter of Robert Mack and Ollie Mae Dean, she was born Dec. 20, 1940.

She attended Claremore High School and was proud to be the Spelling Bee Champion.

Joann lived in Strickler for over 50 years. She loved the Lord, gardening, quilting, morel hunting, collecting ceramic chickens and cooking for her kids.

Her pride and joy were her grandchildren and her dog Rascal.

She was a longtime member of New Sulphur Free Will Baptist Church and currently attended Fall Creek Church.

Joann is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Dawn Pennington of Strickler, Ark., Punkin Pennington of Strickler, Ark., and Julie Pennington of West Fork, Ark.; sisters, Barbara McClure of Inola, Okla., and Della Jones of Muskogee, Okla.; brothers, Hershel Dean of Chelsea, Okla., and Junior Dean of Alluwe, Okla.; grandkids, Darrell Pennington Jr. of Fayetteville, Ark., Shannon Pennington of Tampa, Fla., Adeline Fox of Brownsville, Texas, and Carmen Bemrose of Fayetteville, Ark.; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Olen Pennington; parents, Robert and Ollie Dean; sister, Minnie David; brothers, Dossie Dean, Richard Dean, Russell Dean and Olen Dean.

Gwendolyn Kay Taylor PRAIRIE GROVE ó Gwendolyn Kay Taylor, 55, of Prairie Grove died Aug. 16, 2013, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.

She was born Dec. 11, 1957, in Deer Park, Texas, to J.W. and Lorraine Malone Hamilton.

She enjoyed photography, the casino, but most of all, time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, James Taylor of the home; one son, Christopher Reno and wife, Anna, of Fayetteville; two daughters, Kara Self and husband, Christopher, of Fayetteville and Tracie Reno of Prairie Grove; three grandchildren, Piper (Cuppy Cake) Reno, Jackson Reno and Harper Self; as well as ve brothers and two sisters.

Memorial services were held Aug. 20, 2013, at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale, with the Rev. Jerry Self of ciating.
