Vandalism causes Gravette skate park closure

GRAVETTE - Gravette’s skateboard park is officially closed until further notice, according to a city announcement.

Vandalism to the new park attraction which occurred sometime during last Thursday night is the reason for the closure.

Signs at the nature trail, also in Pop Allum Park, which had been vandalized several times in past months, were also damaged the same night. According to Gravette police officer Chuck Skaggs,both incidents are being investigated.

“The skateboard park will be closed until persons responsible for the damage are identified. Persons with information are asked to call the Gravette Police Department at 787-6948,” Skaggs said.
