We received some more welcome rain and cooler temperatures this week. I suppose a frost will be next but, so what, it’s almost November.

Maysville E.H. Club members, this Thursday, Oct. 24, is our regular meeting at the community building. Jane Wilber is hostess for the lunch. She also has the lesson.

The quilt show at the Maysville Bible Church is this Saturday, Oct. 26. The fellowship hall will be open on Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. for those who want to set up, then Saturday morning at 9 a.m. If you have a quilt to display everyone is welcome to bring them.

Carol Ann Walker and Karla Ballmann spent one day last week at the arts and crafts fairs. They enjoy the timetogether and seeing all the pretty things.

There will be a craft fair at the Maysville community building on Nov. 2. For a booth contact Gwen Singleton by calling 291-4520. There are some booths available.

Mr, and Mrs. Clint Holloway are the proud parents of a baby girl born on Friday of last week. Norma Holloway is the proud grandmother. Congratulations to all of them.
