Work continues at Gravette museum

GRAVETTE - Repairing and painting soffi ts and trim at the Gravette Historical Museum is continuing this week by workmen with Arsco Roofing of Bentonville.

Pointing of some brickwork at the Kindley home, which houses the museum, is also scheduled, according to John Lee Mitchael, chairman of the museum commission.

The work is being financed througha $2,500 grant from the Arkansas Humanities Council of Little Rock. Allyson Ransom, a member of the commission, wrote the grant request.

“The board of directors and staff of the Arkansas Humanities Council appreciate your commitment to foster understanding of the humanities in Arkansas,” wrote Paul Austin, executive director. “We extend our best wishes for a successful humanities project.”
