Ozark pounds Gentry boys and girls

OZARK -- Gentry was going to have a tough match up with the Ozark girls regardless, and with Ozark dropping its first 4A-1 Conference game earlier this week at Farmington, the Lady Hillbillies were in a bad mood.

Ozark dominated the second quarter with a 15-0 run and controlled the second half in a 57-39 win on Friday.

"I think we came back with a lot of intensity and that was good to see," Ozark coach Bret Nagel said. "Our posts, Olivia Melton and Celia Huffington, both had much better games and we had better all around and balanced scoring."

Kylie Ladd had 12 points and Melton 10. Whitley Baker had eight, and nine different players got in the scoring column. Christin Flesner led Gentry (5-19, 0-9) with 11 points.
