Maysville EHC Meeting

MAYSVILLE -- The Maysville Extension Homemakers Club met at the Maysville Community Building Feb. 22 for its regular club meeting. Ginger Yocum was the hostess for the noon meal, and club members were treated to several varieties of quiche.

The meeting was called to order by the president. Jane Wilber welcomed guest Gayla McKenzie.

After the pledge to the flag, the club members sang "How Great Thou Art," followed by an inspirational reading on God's love.

In lieu of the regular program, Gayla McKenzie, who recently announced her bid for House District No. 92, spoke to club members about how she became interested in running for office and what she hopes to accomplish if elected to this position. McKenzie also took questions from the group and shared her views and ideas on a variety of subjects.

A helpful hint was given by Nikki Crawley. Soaking a fabric softener sheet in a burnt pan will soften burnt-on food so the pan can be easily washed.

The club's spring yard sale will be April 13-14. Anyone wishing to rent a booth may contact Robin Reichardt or any club member. The spring fundraiser will be April 27.

The club, in conjunction with the county, is collecting items for PEACE, a women's shelter.

The meeting was adjourned with the Homemaker's Prayer.
