Bulldogs lose second game to Augusta in log road trip

DECATUR -- After traveling for nearly five hours Sept. 7, the Decatur Bulldog varsity and junior high football teams faced off against their second opponent in the new eight-man football league, the Augusta Red Devils.

It was a one-sided game as the Red Devils quickly established control and never relented, eventually winning the contest, 50-8 over the Bulldogs.

Decatur is now 0-2 in the eight-man league and faces its next opponent, the Little Rock Episcopal Wildcats, in Decatur Sept. 14. Gametime is at 7 p.m.

Before the varsity contest, the Decatur Bulldog junior high football team found its stride by defeating the junior high Red Devils, 34-20, and winning its first game of the season.
