Make time for exercise

Juggling your career or your family responsibilities can be demanding. Whether you're cooking, cleaning or chauffeuring your kids from place to place, you may find yourself neglecting your workout routine. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, adults need at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity at least five days a week. Read on to learn how you can get moving at home.

If you can't seem to find the time to go to the gym, try exercising at home. You don't have to worry about what you're wearing, a long commute or finding a babysitter. Crank up your favorite music, and exercise on your own time.

Working out at home is manageable and convenient. Simply walking up and down your stairs or jogging in place while watching television or listening to music can serve as your cardio workout. Also, try to make dancing around your home a regular occurrence, and use food cans for arm curls. If you feel like you aren't getting enough out of your workout, consider buying an exercise DVD such as Pilates or kickboxing. Devote at least one night a week to completing the DVD workout, and ask your family to join you

Host a healthy party

• Fresh berries -- In place of sugary cakes, cookies and brownies, substitute fresh berries and vanilla ice cream for a low-fat, healthy treat.
