Gentry cheer squad wins competitions

GENTRY -- The Gentry High School cheerleaders put on winning performances at home on Thursday and again at West Fork on Saturday.

The cheer squad took first place at the West Fork Cheer Competition on Saturday and also a first-place with the Anderson stunt group from Gentry winning first place overall.

On their own gym floor in Gentry on Thursday, the GHS cheer squad took first in 4A all-girl performance routine. The overall first place stunt group winners of all-girl were Emma Anderson, Cameron Thorburn, Madi Boyd and Falyn Cordeiro.

The Gentry girls also received a second place on Thursday (out of the 20 schools competing in the competition) in the strong stunt competition.
