Owens crowned queen, Bates king at Gentry coronation ceremonies

GENTRY -- Casy Bates was crowned king and Meledy Owens was crowned queen at Gentry's basketball coronation, held before Friday's games at Gentry High School. Last year's coronation queen, Madison Ward, placed the crowns at this year's ceremonies.

Also vying for this year's crown were seniors Katie Ellis, Kinley Hays, Ariel Nix, Raegan Jude, Ahrya Reding and Heidi Vinson.

The court included junior maids Randi Jo Bolinger, Lexi Fowler, Ashlyn Little, Emily Toland, Darien Welch and Jaiden Wilmoth; sophomore maids Kelsey Barber, Liberty Brannon and Tania Diaz; kindergarten mascots Carly, Kamry and Ravyn Nance; and escorts Isaiah Lemke, Huntlee Wilkerson, Trenten Sheets, Beau Tomblin, Luke Fox, Cory Hockenberry, Garrison Jackson, Jose Barrios, Garrett Brown, Charlie Reams, Andrew Godfrey, Brett Hester, Brian Magana, Blake Wilkinson and Nathan Ruth.

Raegan Jude sang the national anthem at the opening of the coronation ceremonies.
